Hermione stopped in her tracks, and turned slowly to Ron.
“What do you mean, Ronald?” She said in a casual, yet frantic, voice.
Ron’s face darkened. “I mean, why are you alone in the courtyard with Malfoy?” He spat the name with another glare at the blond sitting a few yards away.
She rolled her eyes.
“Honestly, Ron, what do you think? I was just passing through. What- did you think we were snogging?!” she made movements with her hands that showed that she MUST be joking, and then laughed.
Draco, noticing that Weasel had shown up, walked over to the two. “Seriously Weasel. I didn’t even notice she was in here until I heard the two of you talking.” Draco clenched and unclenched his fists awkwardly. “Honestly, what makes you think something was going on?” He really wanted to spit out right away that he and Hermione had a moment, but he wasn’t about to say it to Ron Weasley.
“C’mon, Ron. I was just heading back to the dorms. Honestly, Ronald!” She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms again, trying much to hard to keep back a grin.
